Event Specialist

I think I have a job! And the good news is that I have experience – which I wasn’t aware of, but they seem to think I do, so I’ll roll with it, especially since they want to give me $12 an hour. It’s one of those people you see at Costco giving out samples and doing demonstrations, though I wouldn’t be at Costco, I’d be at Fred Meyer’s in Burlington, or part time in Bellingham as well. It’s only 5 hours a day, three days a week, which would be just about enough to get me buy on bills, especially if there was any way I could pick up an extra day elsewhere in the week.

It completely fits my criteria – except for the tips part. It’s working for a corporation, so I wouldn’t feel the need to climb the ladder and put my everything into the job, and it (in theory) shouldn’t interfere with my classes.

The problem is – I’ll probably hate it. Doing something I hate can kill my every day motivation. That could certainly be a problem. But, I can give it a go, and if it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work.

Still waiting on the next phase of phone interviews.
