“WARNING” from the Financial Aid office

This is a great way to wake up. I’m not entirely sure how this was warranted. I woke up to find an email from the college’s Financial Aid office telling me I am on Financial Aid Warning. According to the letter they sent as an attachment, it’s because I failed to complete 2/3 of the credits I enrolled in last quarter, or it’s because I failed to maintain at least a 2.0 GPA.

Last quarter I was initially enrolled in 17 credits, then I dropped a five credit class, bringing my credit total to 12 credits. That’s still 70% of my initial credit enrollment, which is more than 2/3’s.

It is true that this quarter I got my first B on my transcript (my feelings are still pretty hurt by that one), but it only brought my GPA for the quarter to a 3.94, and a 3.96 cumulatively….so I’m not understanding the problem there, either.

I’m puzzled and at a loss. This is highly perplexing.
